Wild.Skinny.Clean. launches their new Plant Based Crunchy Coconut 'Shrimp' onto Supermarket Shelves.

Plant-Based Crunchy Coconut Shrimp that debuted live on the CNET stage at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas January 8th now available on retail shelves.
Van Cleve Seafood Co.‘s new brand, Wild.Skinny.Clean., launches their plant-based seafood product, Crunchy Coconut ‘Shrimp’ into GreenWise Markets, an all natural and organic food chain owned by Publix. The launch also includes their 3 Superfood Topped Haddock Kits- Cran-Orange Rosemary, Mango Lime Poblano and Sweet Coconut Curry.
Shelly Van Cleve, who heads the product development team, attributes the success of their plant-based replicas to the fact the company has been making real seafood products for almost 20 years. “When you’ve been making gourmet products from seafood for so long it is easier to replicate it using plant-based ingredients when you know how it has to look, taste, and perform -it’s definitely an advantage”, said Van Cleve. Van Cleve stated that their creations are innovative and come from years of experience in a kitchen, not a laboratory. “Our Crunchy Coconut Shrimp is exactly like the real thing and is a total game changer for those with shellfish allergens, vegans, flexitarians, and those concerned with sustainability, animal welfare, imported seafood, farmed-raised seafood and climate change” She added
“We offer an alternative to all of that. We’re not telling anyone what to, or what not to eat, we are providing consumers with a choice. We realize we are creating waves in our own industry but shaking things up is not always a bad thing, especially when there is a lot of positive impact that could come from it.” says President Monica Van Cleve-Talbert. To calm industry fears of consumer confusion, they use the terms ‘plant-based’ and ‘simply-like’ in front of the name of all their plant based products to not confuse customers.
Their plant-based Crunchy Coconut Shrimp has received global interest since appearing at the Food Trend Lab at the TEDWoman 2019 conference and after being presented live on the CNET stage at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January. The panel of CNET judges praised the product for the appearance, performance, taste, and duplication of the the real thing. Their Crunchy Coconut Shrimp is just one of many plant based items in their lineup. Wild.Skinny.Clean. also produces plant-based crab cakes, plant-based ready-to-fry shrimp, plant-based hickory-smoked brown sugar bacon and will launch plant-based scallops this year.
Their new Wild.Skinny.Clean. line is all about health and healing cuisine and touts the nutritional power of their Superfood Topped Haddock Kits using 100% MSC certified Haddock from the Gulf of Maine. “Seafood is the ultimate superfood providing you know where it is coming from, who is catching it and that NO chemicals are being added to it.” said Van Cleve-Talbert. But these things are not always transparent considering 80% of the seafood in the US is imported and 50% of that is farm raised. “I wanted to take the guesswork out and create a brand which consumers could trust 100% of the products, 100% of the time. It’s what I was looking for as a consumer myself” she added. “We’re on a mission to re-invent the way we ‘sea’ food now and for future generations!”
Wild.Skinny.Clean. can be found in all locations of GreenWise Markets located in Florida, Alabama and South Carolina and for sale online at wildskinnyclean.com
